Concept

’Tang Breaks Silence’ is my podcast, starting on September 14th, 2020, with over 40 episodes of the show. This is an interview show that I chat with different people from different industries.
Those interviewees have their own unique stores. Interacting with them is a great experience not only for me but also for every listener.

Ideate

Everyone’s life is only once and unique. I made this podcast to provide a chance to the interviewees to share their own career experiences and to the audiences to listen to vast lifestyles.
The idea came from my work experience in the instrument store. I met plenty of customers every day and listened to many stories. Some cried sadly, some laughed loudly. I had a feeling that: ‘Everyone is unique, and every life journey is wonderful.’ Therefore, after closing my store, I decided to make this show, continuing to share stories.

Research

I have made over 40 episodes, interviewing over 30 different people from diverse industries, like dancer, musician, designer, poet, etc. To ask various and precise questions for each interviewee, I researched lots of information according to those jobs to find out not only the content but the issues of those jobs. In each interview, I would write down over 15 questions, and highlight some issues that interested me.

Record

‘Chatting with friends’ is my hosting style. I'm not interviewing guests but chatting with friends. No matter if I'm familiar with them. It is a good way to help visitors relax and get closer to each other. Another way to have a good conversation is trying not to ask questions by simply asking, instead, it would be better to set questions into conversations to guide guests answering in a more interesting way.

Edit

I spend more time editing each episode. I will remove the sound or word in mistake, and cut off blanks in the conversations to improve the qualities of the show. Also I will add opening and ending music on it, or add background music in different situations.

Social Media

I have uploaded all the episodes on the major music or podcast platforms, like Spotify, Apple Podcast, Google Podcast, and other social media, like Instagram and Facebook. Those episodes have their own banner which is mainly meme images to attract audiences and make them laugh. If they feel funny or interested, they probably would listen to my show.

Analysis

‘SoundOn’ is the platform where I host, and I find it useful that SoundOn will analyze the numbers of listeners and where they are from. This function is helpful for me to know how to improve my show.
